Radioshack and camera problems.

I brought my camera up to radioshack to get the battery port fixed, all that needed to be fixed on it was a s***w tightened, and that is where I originally bought it from. So I brought it in about a month ago and they said they had to ship it in to Olympus to get it fixed. They told me it would be back in a week and it's been over a month now, is there any way for me to get it back faster or can I demand that they give me a new camera in replacement of the old one? I have to have my camera it's not something that just can't be swept off my shoulders. I take pictures for a living.

  1. Since you take photos as a living, I am surprised you are shooting with a P&S camera ...

Perhaps this is a blessing in disguise and you can take this time to buy a camera (DSLR) that will give you higher quality images as well as more control over your images.

Have RadioShack do a trace on your camera ... something seems to have happened to the camera ...

  2. Consider the camera lost and demand a replacement or credit and buy another camera.

The Cannon SD750 (black) seems to be one of the best cameras for the money.  Also, consider similar cameras with optical view finders. This can really helps in bright sun.

The first source link will show you prices and reviews for lots of other cameras.

The second link will help you keep the battery and camera contacts clean on any digital camera you buy.   Digital cameras require lots of power so these contacts really need to be good to avoid problems.
