Radishes w/ butter and salt?

I have radishes in my fridge, and I want to eat them, but can I consume them without cooking?

My father in law just eats them raw with a little bit of salt sprinkled on them...they are good that way.

I've never heard of anyone cooking a radish.  Just wash them and cut off the ends and eat them raw... whole or sliced in a salad.  No butter, no salt

I have never eaten a radish cooked...I usually only eat them on a salad..but yes, eating them raw is more common (at least in the Southern US where I'm from) than cooked...
