  1. Hi

Don´t worry thats the end of the raining season and in vallarta it mostly rains in the late afternoon.

    Have Fun

  2. Thats the " end " of the rainy season - supposedly.

    Cross you fingers.

best times are November thru May. Also the highest prices so plan for next year and cross your fingers this year.

Travel insurance is not a bad idea in Hurricane ally at that time of year

Anytime now the rains can start. We got drizzle in some parts of town in past 2 weeks, just to make your sunglasses messed! Other areas were all dry. But by July, the season gets fully underway with light rains then getting heavier. Late afternoon is the most frequent. If you see black as night clouds to the south, rain is approaching. Gray or dark gray does not count. August and September are the big months. Lightning and thunder abound in full array and quite impressive. That is why we are jetting back for 3 weeks of this bliss. I rarely get wet. I sit on my couch and watch. When it stops, we go out and marvel at the sights and smells and freshness. By October, it is calming down and toward the end is pretty much over but the shouting. Prices are lower for rentals as I reduce mine for weekly rates from high season [almost 1/2 price!] and places are less than full which is fine with me. Many places close so keep walking until you find what you want where you wish. Most of all enjoy!

  4. The rainy season is mid-June through September. September is the rainiest month. Supposedly, PV's rainy season is mild compared to other cities along the Mexican Pacific coast.

There's not a really good chance you can avoid the rain at the tail end of the season, or the start. I just got back from PV in early June and it rained the entire trip -- not heavy afternoon showers, but alternating drizzle and downpours all day, all night.

The weather was still fairly warm (around 80), so we were able to site outside in a hot tub -- and we got a little sunburned despite the drizzle. There's plenty to do up in the rainforest while it's raining too, so a little rain won't necessarily ruin your trip.

  5. Contrary to popular belief, rainy season does not mean it rains constantly. Rainy season (June/July until September/October) in Vallarta typically brings late afternoon showers to late night lightshows and cooling down pours.
