I want to move around there when I graduate with my boyfriend. I have such a busy life right now that I just don't have time to search through millions of websites so if anyone has any information to these questions it would be so helpful.

1. Is Raleigh a good enough place to make money doing tattoos and piercings?

2. What are some nice places to live between Raleigh and the Outerbanks(KittyHawk)?

3. What is the weather like there?

4. How big is Raleigh?

5. Does Raleigh have other ways beside cars to get around the city?

Any other information concerning Raleigh would be highly appreciated thanks so much

  1. i can tell you  it's a booming college town , call chamber of commerce there and tell them what your lookin to do and, and ask them to send relocation package to you , then  go on craigslist and surf jobs /apts etc .......

  2. 1. You can make money doing anything, anywhere, if you do it right.

2.Raleigh is a great place to live. Some cities between Raleigh and the coast are Greenville, Wilson, Rocky Mount, New Bern, Wilmington.

3.The weather is great. 80's and 90's in the summer. the weather fluxuates alot in the winter(20'-60's). It might snow once or twice a year.

4.I'm not sure but there is over 1 million in the Raleigh/Durham area. Raleigh isn't a big city like New York or Atlanta but it is growing rapidly.

5.There is no subway. They have a city bus service. It costs 25 cents to ride. They also have taxis. Raleigh is pretty spread out but you might be able to walk alot.

Raleigh has great malls and restaurants. Raleigh is home to NC State University and the Carolina Hurricanes NHL hockey team. Nearby Chapel Hill and Durham are home to UNC and Duke Universities.  Raleigh is about a two and a half hour drive to most North Carolina beaches as well as Charlotte. There are plenty of clubs and bars in Raleigh

  3. From what I can tell, Raleigh has more tattoo/piercing joints open now than there are customers for them.  I see them all over...open all hours of the day with no customers.  I think many of  them will go out of business soon, especially the smaller businesses.  There's just not that much demand any more.  Just about anyone who even wants a tattoo or piercing around here has them already.  (And with the economy slowing down, people probably won't be spending money on them as much...and besides, they'll probably lean towards a more conservative look to give them an edge in job hunting.)

So you might wanna rethink this.
