My exup valve is rattling it's head off at low revs,I had it repaired by an fitter at work but it's back to rattling again,Is it possible to fix this at home through some ingenuity or repair kit or is it a case of breathe deep and pay the rediculous amounts wanted on e-bay,breakers and heaven forbid a brand new item?

  1. just get some new bushes, the pivoting action wears them out and causes the rattle. Any motorcycle engineer can make them up or just get new yamaha ones

Yours is obviously one of the rare ones that hasn't seized up! lol

  2. It may just be a service issue. Contact your local yam dealer and ask a few questions. Whats needed, cost etc.

  3. ive seen the odd one in the brakers, ive even got a servo unit forv one some where...just split it and replace the worn bits...it is possable.
