  1. I suppose the advantage on the raw food side would be that you're not losing as many nutrients by eating the food raw as you would if you had it cooked.

I'd certainly see your dr/nutritionist before starting anything like this, because they'd probably be better qualified to explain any problems you may encounter.. and also they'll be able to say if you're medically ok to do this diet.

  2. An advantage of a raw vegan diet is that the nutrients in the foods haven't been removed through a cooking process.

"Advantages: No headaches, insomnia, depression, lethargy, digestive disorders, better skin, hair and eyes..."

Food is NOT the only catalyst/reason behind any of these maladies. It is intentionally deceptive to claim that it is.

  3. What is allowed: Anything that hasn't been heated over 116 degrees.  Fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, fresh juices, and anything you can make from them...generally these should account for at least 75% of your diet.

What isn't allowed:  It's not a question of "allowed."  Nothing is actually "forbidden."  It's just about consuming the majority of your food in a natural state.

Advantages:  No headaches, insomnia, depression, lethargy, digestive disorders, better skin, hair and eyes...

Disadvantages:  Can be tricky if you don't live near a Whole Foods, or a big supermarket with organic produce and a natural foods aisle, but there are plenty of online resources.

    A basic day's menu:

Breakfast - Smoothie (fresh squeezed OJ, frozen bananas, agave nectar, blueberries)

Lunch - Mixed green salad with Thai dressing and almonds

Snack - Lara Bar and a Coconut Water

Dinner - Nut burger on onion bread
