Re-activating Windows?

Question

I installed a microphone on my computer and then was told I had to reactivate my windows. When I tried to do so it asked me for a key but since I bought the computer second hand I never recived the key they are asking for . So what can I do ???? Does anyone know how to get around it..???????

Widows XP or Vista can only take so many main system changes B4 you have to re register it

You have been caught in a conundrum as you do not have the original disk and reg code You cannot reactivate it

See if a friend has a copy of the O/S.  Try installing it in repair mode " Press R after all drivers are loaded and it gives you a choice" You will need your friends reg numbers as well

Also search web for a program that overcomes activation

apparently the previous owner installed an illegal copy of windows. now youi have to buy a legit copy
