Do you know a site online that will read books to your children if you go to a certain website?

Like one where it will read and then they can switch the page or something?

  1. I don't know about a site online but I have purchased programs for the computer like "Just Grandma And Me" by Mercer Mayer (Living Books) and Arthur books.

  2. i'm with the other answerer. i read to my daughter (and have since she was an infant, she is now 8) for almost an hour every night before bed.  i've got laundry piling up, dishes to watch, telephone calls to make, but, nothing, NOTHING can replace these important and special times for both myself and my child.

p.s. she's at the top of her class in reading

p.s.s. she is very well adjusted child and well liked by her peers.

  3. It is most important that YOU read to your child.  One of the most important predictors of reading ability, school success and success in life & career is that the parents spend time reading to the child on a regular basis, preferably starting before the age of 2.  It is the interaction with the parents that is just as important as the reading.  A computer program cannot have a real conversation, answer questions, relate the book to the child's personal life, imagination, etc.

  4. Try Story Nory!    I love that site and so does my dd.

We just love "Tick Tock Turkey"

  5. Try starfall.com.  My son loves it.  It helps them learn to read, It can read books to them, or the can choose just to have certain words read to them.  It has learning games.  It's great!!

  6. starfall.com
