  1. Talk to someone in the admissions office of the school you plan to attend,

trust me they'll be glad to help

  2. You would need to go to the place where u file ur taxes and ask for a copy and send it to the school that  way

  3. If you filed your taxes yourself you may have to contact the IRS directly (good luck!).

You should keep a copy of your taxes every year.

  4. You can actually call 1-800-829-1040 (it's a real number I promise) and thats the phone to the tax transcripts and you have the opition of having them send to you through mail or they can fax them to you.  :)

  5. You can get this information from the IRS (sort of for free), but the bad news is that it takes time for them to process your request and send it to you.

I've linked to the IRS page that describes this option, but basically, the IRS will send you something called a "tax transcript" for free. It's not an exact copy of your return, but it "shows most line items from your tax return (Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ) as it was originally filed, including any accompanying forms and schedules. " (those are their words, not mine)

As you'll see when you visit the page I've linked, the IRS says that this transcript satisfies the informational requirements of student loan (and theoretically financial aid) providers.

Check with your financial aid office to find out if a tax return transcript will suffice (it should) and then order it by phone, or by mail, from the IRS - you'll find the number on the webpage that I attached.

Hurry, because the IRS suggests that you allow 2 weeks for delivery.
