What are some real world applications of the reactivity series ?

say you ould like to design a sturdy battery. you will need an acid that reacts with hte electrolite but not the case.

i want to clean my concrete walk way. i have two cleaners one has sulfuric acid the other has hydrochloric. which one is better?  the hydrochloric. it will eat the lime in the cement and create hydrogen and chlorine. the sulfuric acid will not react.

activity series is very important.  how else would you decide what kind of container to store and mix chemicals or that fire extinguisher make metal fires burn hotter?
