Reasons for rapid weight gain?

Ok, so over the past few months I have gained a lot of weight (all in my stomach)... i look like im pregnant, but I havent missed a period and have gotten negative pregnancy tests.. so answers other than pregnancy would be great... so I havent changed anything, if anything ive been more active lately so its not that ive been eating more and getting lazier :S im just a bit confused,

  1. thyroid --- stress -- and sometimes no real reason.. i have the same problem i actually eat healthy no red meat lots of vegi's and i quit sodas but i m back on them because honestly i wasnt loosing weight by not drinking them so i said p**p on it..  your best bet is to go to the dr and have any medical possibilities ruled out then just start and exercise plan


  2. ok, you have been working out and thats good. but the question is do you watch tv and  sit in front of the computer for long periods?  do you count your daily calorie intake?  it is very important to watch what you eat to lose weight and not gain weight.  i found out that after eating food high in sodium i tend to bloat and look fat around my waist and face. so stay away from sodium too, good luck,

  3. stress can definitley affect weight, also not necessarily eating more but eating less healthy foods. Getting older slows metabolism down too and if you've had a fast metabolism all your life you may have thought that you were eating/exercising healthily but you really weren't

    I gained a lot of weight my senior year of college it started the end of my junior year and ever since i started work (it's been a year and a half) i lost all the weight i gained. I think it was stress+fast metabolism slowing down.
