Reclaim Peerage Titles?

is it possible to reclaim peerage titles

in the british isles, especially in the irish republic.

and how does one legally do it, so it can be passed on from father to son and daughter

and i want to know, because i have a irish family peerage title, and i was wondering if i can reclaim it, as it is dormant.

  1. it would have to be reissued by the queen anytime a peerage  has gone dormant it has always had to be recreated.  


  2. You can write to Burke's Peerage or Debrett's for more information,but I don't think that a dormant title can be reclaimed.A title goes dormant when there are no successors available.
