Question:

Recommend me a digital camera?

My budget is around $300. I want a camera that's convenient to carry around, so no changeable lenses, and flash has to be internal. I rarely print pictures and I view my photos with a typical desktop monitor, so MP doesn't matter much as long as quality is good and details are sharp. I'll be shooting mostly indoors and macro, so noise should be minimum at relatively high ISO and focus should be able to handle distance of a few centimeters. I'd also prefer the minimum shutter speed to be 30 seconds or so for good twilight landscape photos. Optical zoom should be at least 3x and it should be able to record video at VGA (640x480) resolution @ 30fps. Lastly, I like to have as much control as possible regarding the settings.

With all the different brands available, it's hard to make a decision. I have not owned any digital camera before, but I know basic photographic skills. Hope that's all the information you guys need to give a recommendation. Thanks a lot in advance.

  1. The Fuju Finepix S100 or s2000HD are my pics as best easy to use non SLR cameras made right now. the lens quality is good and they have a lot of features to manually control them, they also have pretty good video quality as well .
