Recording digital tv?

If I have a digital tv recorder with twin tuners how can I transfer or copy a programme onto a vcr or dvd recorder (so I have a copy of the programme on a disk ,etc, to keep?)

  1. Connect RCA cables from the output of the DVR to either the VCR or DVD recorder inputs, and simply playback the recorded program while recording on your other device.
