Recovering missing files from a backup?

Question

I lost all files when I had to re-format my Windows XP due to a fu***** virus.

I had a backup via the Norton Ghost, but I can't find or recover a certain file that is a sentimental interest to me.

It were recording of me and my mom on a digital wave player. I know the files are there, but don't know how to find it and recover it.

Can anyone help me? It's just a sentimental thing and not vital, but it would be nice if I can recover it.

Sorry  to hear you got virused - one reason why I use Linux! Anyway, you can try this little program to recover lost files:
