Recycling ....?

Question

Okay, this is going to sound weird but I really enjoy things that have to do with recycling and telling people about all the good that recycling does.... can any one recommend a job that has to do with recycling? Besides trash pick up.

I am a recycling technician for a local authority (sometimes called recycling officer) and am sure you'd love it! Ask your local authorities what positions they have, ask WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme) how they can help? Alternatively, I started as a recycling promoter with Student Force (check studentforce.org). Good luck!

The City of SB is really big in recycling and I'm sure the same is true in VC.  My garbage can is small relative to the 2  recycling bins that get picked up.

Here's a couple of sites in SB that might help.  I would go to the city and county websites for jobs that are open or even network with people in the recycling industry here in CA to give you some ideas.

Morborg Industries is big here, too.

I live in Alberta, Canada and work for the Recycling Council of Alberta. I coordinate a program (Recycling Ambassador Program) that sends summer students all around the province educating the public about recycling at public events. It's awesome!!!! Why don't you see if there is a recycling organization where you live? The Recycling Council is non political, not for profit charity that works closely with the Alberta government.
