Reddish ear wax/skin?

Question

For the last few weeks, when I have used a cotton tip to clean the upper area of my left ear's shell, rather than the usual faint orange residue, it has been a pinkish red. The right ear has remained the same tinge as before. I haven't had an injury, and there is no noticeable difference until I swab the area.

I wouldn't know how to approach Google-ing this query, so hopefully someone here has experienced it! Thanks guys.

Are you experiencing any pain, sensitivity, or swelling in the area?

If no, I wouldn't be concerned. Ear wax can be a number or different shades and even colors without it indicating anything untoward.
