References upon request?

Should I write that on my resume or is it "out of style" like some people say..

I'm only applying for a part time job.

It is only used when applying to professional jobs. Since it's part time, i'm guessing it's nothing big, so they probably wont call your references.

Even then, I seen many books say don't put "references upon request" as it is expected.
