Refigerator temperature?

What is the temperature supposed to be in a refrigerator?

It depends how full your refrigerator is. I keep mine set to between 34 and 36 on average.

If the fridge is jam-packed, you can lower it to between 31 and 33.

a little bit over the middle temperature. This will also use less energy and help save the environment.

between 33 and 40 Farenheit.  Anything over 40 but under 140 is considered the "danger zone"  the temperature in which bacteria finds it easiest to grow.  Keep your fridge under 40!

On my new fridge freezer the user manual said to set

fridge to +4 deg C (39 F)

and the freezer to -18 deg C (0 F).  

As someone else has said set the fridge colder if you have it really full up.

Above freezing but not over 40 degrees F either.

most mfg. call for a 40 degree F compartment.
