I have a 6 year old Kenmore refridgerator that is suddenly not keeping cool. The fridge section is not keeping cool at all (the groceries all spoiled), and the freezer part is working okay (though not as cool as normal), but the ice maker (inside the freezer) is barely functioning (making one thing of ice per day, rather than filling the entire bin in a couple days). It steadily got worse over the course of about 2 weeks or so, but now the fridge section isn't cold at all (it's room temp).
What do you think the problem is? Is it fixable by a normal handy husband, or should I call a repair person? And how much do you think this repair should cost (if I hire a repair person)? Thanks!
