I left my home for awhile and had an electrical problem. It caused the stuff in there to cause a smell. I have tried bleach and vinegar to remove smell. Any ideas?

  1. ~~Activated charcoal will work great, but usually you don't have that on hand. Take a bowl and (best if you can grind your own) or use already ground coffee and pour it in, I'm talking fresh not used grounds. Leave in overnight and all bad odors will be gone.~~

  2. Have you looked under the vegetable storage bins lately? Crud can get stuck under there and cause a bad stench.  You have to take them apart to get to the very bottom of the fridge and look all around that circle down there and clean inside of it.  Use hot soapy water and a sponge.

  3. An open packet of baking soda inside your fridge will work and should absorb the smell.

Otherwise wipe your fridge out with vanilla essence.

    Good luck!

  4. Take some charcoal and place it in a container in the fridge. Also put some crumpled up newspaer in the fridge and spray with water a few times for a day or two. Only thing that got the smell out of my fridge after trying vinegar, baking soda and bleach.

  5. open a can of baking powder slightly and leave it in there. clean everything out that still smells after a day or two.

  6. Use some activated charcoal. In most supermarkets they carry activated charcoal products specifically designed for refrigerators. If you can't find any at the supermarket, you may find some at a pet store in granular form. If you can't find it there, I'm sure that someone sells it on the internet. You can also use baking soda, but that doesn't work quite as well as activated charcoal. Good luck getting rid of the smell!
