Question:

Refrigerator not keeping constant temperature

I have a GE refrigerator about 6 yrs old that has been fluctuating its temperature between 25 degrees F and 50 degrees F. I keep a thermometer inside to watch the temp and noticed about a week ago it read almost 50 degrees then a day later it was dropped to 25 degrees. It normally stays just above freezing point at around 35 degrees.

I have checked the seal around the door and its in perfect shape and made sure the door has fully sealed each time I have closed it.

What could be causing these changes in temperature?
