Relay swim of the English channel?

Question

I will be a member of a 7 person team swimming the English channel at the end of August.If you have done a similar swim can you give any advice or handy hints.Thanks.

I would love to do that...

You will be very cold and you will have to make sure that you breath with a rhythm and regularly. If you are aloud then you should wear a full body swimsuit. When you finish your leg of the relay make sure that you get warm and dry quickly. If you are taking part in another relay then don't get too warm as you will have a BIG shock when you enter the water.

My friend did it, I haven't.  I have swam in the channel and as you must know its very cold, certainly makes the spine tingle.  Warm when you get out  lol.  A good wet suit and plenty of grease.  I hope you are being followed, I admire anyone that can keep up the pace.  Get expert advice, I would suggest a swimming cap, we lose heat from our heads!  Good luck.
