Question:

Relocating to the UK?

My husband has family in Tewkesbury and we'd like to try living over there for awhile. I think I would love it, but I've never even visited. We're use to moving and living in new areas, so I think we'd be able to adapt to new surroundings. Would it be easy to find jobs?

  1. If i was you, i would suggest looking for on job websites such  as: www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk and other similar ones, to see if there is the kind of work you're looking for available in the area. this website is very useful. Tewksbury is a nice area of the country and there is low crime, and friendly people, so i am confident you would settle into the area without a problem, and mix with people. hope this helps :) good luck

  2. Err, what nationality are you? Unless you have a close family connection to the UK (last 1 or 2 generations) it is difficult to work legally if you are not an EU citizen.

  3. this is a difficult question to answer because it depends on so many things

does your husband have an entitlement to live and work in the UK? ... is he a UK national or would he have the right of abode here by descent? ... are you from a country that would qualify you for a students work visa for 2 years ... or would you have to get a work permit? ... work permits can be notoriously difficult to get by the way

as for jobs, what qualifications and experience do you have?

  4. Before you think of finding jobs, I would definetely urge you to visit first and stay for as long as you can to experience everything.
