Remove scratch from plastic?

I have a black plastic object and was wondering how i might be able to fade or even remove a light scuff mark. Any ideas? Thanks!

In the car section in Walmart  they have plastic scratch remover. Hope it helps It will take out very minor scratches but nothing deep or bad.

depending on how deep the scratches are , start with very fine sandpaper #600 or finer when you have gotten to the bottom of the imperfections start bringing the sheen back by using  progressively finer polishing compounds. start with emery tripoli next finally jewelers rouge. do this with a damp rag or cotton balls, takes time but you should end up with pretty good results
