Question:

Rent cost in Perth?

I found out the owner of my house wants to sell so I have to move. I only pay $270 a week for a great 3br house in Duncraig.

I work in Osborne Park. What would be some good places to look at closer to my work?

I don't know what to spend either. I make over 100k but I am cheap and have an $800 a month car payment.

Would it be possible to find something really nice for $400 a week?

  1. Greenwood has some nice 3x1 houses for around $350 a week.

  2. I think you need to call the agencies in that area and talk to them. It is possible to find something very nice for under $400 a week.

  3. Have a look around Yokine, and Doubleview or even as far north as Warwick, and you will find something around that range. It won't be the nicest place in the street but then the neighbour hood should be pleasant.

If you go further toward Perth it'll get too expensive.

Innaloo could be good but check out the neighbours first, because there's a lot of homeswest places there (same with Nollamara).

Some of the other answers are just too far away. If you looked at Darch, you'd spend all your wages on petrol.

  4. With your budget, you could rent a 3 beds in Doubleview, Innaloo, Woodlands, Wembley or Leederville which are quite close to Osborne Park.  If you want something really nice, you might have to travel slightly further (10-12 mins), there are many new nice properties in Madeley or Darch  - they are mostly 4 beds.

Doubleview will be nice as its closed to both Osborne Park and Scarborough Beach (nice for summer).
