Renting Snowboards at resorts?

Question

if i went to a resort to snowboard, i would need to rent a board. are the boards they rent brand names and good for use?

Find a shop on the way to the mountain.  They rent for less, and you usually get the same quality board.  Saving money is always a +.

Most resorts usually have name brands such as Rossignol or Burton that are fairly good for the day. The only thing they usually lack is a good binding.

Most of the rental boards at the mountain I ride at are Burton.  They're all in pretty decent shape and I've ridden them a few times no issues.
