Repair of micro oven?

light and timer works. but cooling fan and turn table does not work and hence no heating as well. how to repair if it is a minor one. taking it to a mechanic is not worth since labour is hogh compared to cost on new oven. can some one advise me

  1. When a micro goes out, it is cheaper and less work to buy new.

    They are set up so we we can't fix them.

I have been able to repair quite a number of microwave ovens.  Most of them have internal fuses.  One for the light and the circuit board, and one for the magnetron.  The magnetron fuse could be blown in yours.  You could get a replacement fuse at Radio Shack for around $2.  If it is not the fuse the magnetron could be bad.  In that case it is cheaper to replace the oven.  Make sure it is unplugged when you open it.

  3. it is probly the circuit board u mite be able to find a new one at an online parts store if its not 2 old
