Replacement retainer?

so i think i lost my retainer on a trip to florida and i didn't say anything to my mom about it cuz she would've killed me. ever since i got home i've been lying to her about why i don't have it in, which i just realized is prolly the stupidest thing i could have done. now i'm pretending to look for it even though it's not here.

anyways, i was just wondering if anybody knew how much a new one would cost. i live in virginia if that's any help. i don't know if they're cheaper in certain states or something.

thanks for any help you can give me. you have no idea how much i appreciate it!

  1. OMG that always happens to me! I have lost my retainer 54378952 times, one day I found my dog chewing it, he broke it [lol]. Well, I had to buy a new one for £50 [$100]. IDK if it will be the same where you are because I'm from England. But good luck, <333

  2. my ortho. gives free replacment retainers..

  3. TELL YOU MOM!! THATS THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO!!! YOUR TEETH WILL SLOWLY MOVE BACK TO THEIR ORIGINAL POSITIONS IF YOU DON'T GET A NEW ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Each mouth is different and every retainer has to be fit for your mouth. On average a retainer can be anywhere from $100-$300 depending on the type of retainer you need. After getting this one to insure you won't lose it again always put it in its case. I understand you were on vacation so things are different. But my orthodontist sometime recommends not to even wear your retainer on vacation if you think your going to lose it. Because 4 or 7 days won't really kill it. As long as you wear it when you get back. Also make sure you tell your mom ASAP because your teeth are slowly moving everyday and its going to take some time for the retainer to be made and you want to make sure your teeth stay in position.
