HI, I have a hp pavilion notebook dv6120us. My hard drive has to be replaced. It had a 100gb in it. My question is can I replace it with a 320 or 500 without any trouble? And can anyone tell me if it is Sata. And last, what is the best brand out there to buy? Best answer gets a sure 10 points and thanks in advance!

  1. You should be able to put in a higher capacity drive without any trouble provided it is of the right interface type.  To learn how to upgrade it you'll have to RTFM which may also tell you whether it needs a PATA or SATA hard drive.

As for brands, they all seem to be pretty much alike so it probably doesn't matter which one you get.
