Resale tax question.?

Question

I sell food on a small mobile truck. Some of the food that I sell comes from Cosco and I have a resail permit certificate there so I dont get charged sales tax there but I also buy from other stores like Albetsons, Do I need to get a certificate for Albetsons too or do I have to pay for taxes on resale merchandise there? Thanks

it depends if your keeping it or not..... I believe its like consignment tax......

Generally places like Albertsons will always charge you tax.  It never hurts to ask the manager, but I wouldn't expect it.

However,  keep track of the sales tax that you are PAYING on supplies.

That amount can be deducted from the sales tax you owe when you file your return.   It ends up a wash anyway,
