  1. Reserve National is an A- rated company.

As always, it's not the company that matters, it's the PLAN.  You need to compare COVERAGES and PREMIUMS.  If you haven't READ the coverages and premiums, don't BUY it.

Don't take their word for it, do this work YOURSELF.  Then you KNOW what's covered, and what's not.

  2. I worked for Reserve National for about 6 years.  I am no longer in the insurance business.  They do not offer major medical insurance.  They do have an A- rating but the rating is only good to tell you the company is slovent and pays their claims.  This company definately pays its claims but the policies are very limited to be nice about it.  These polices have stated benefits for procedures.  Like $10,000.00 per surgery.  $200.00 daily room benefit.  I once had a client that had a $50,000.00 hospital bill and he ended up paying $36,000.00 of the bill himself.  That is one of the factors that led me to my decision to leave the company.  You need to look long and hard before you purchase a health plan from Reserve National Insurance.  There are some great websites online where you can purchase Major Medical Insurance.  That is the key.  The plan needs to have the description Major Medical.
