My local restaurant claimed that they have received an award for been the best restaurant in London. I checked out the company's webstite that awarded the restaurant. To my surprise the award company does not even exist, clearly this restaurant is making customers fool. Who should I complaint to?

  1. I would speak to the manager.  It could be something that is not on the web, or from some obscure publication.  Otherwise if they are not cooperative I would speak to someone from the local restaurant association.  If that is not helpful then you may need to contact the police and speak to their fraud department.

  2. A lot of advertising companies approach businesses and say they will award them an award which will then be put in a free press advert in a newspaper they publish....then charge say £200....so yes they can be awarded the best restaurant in London, but it depends if you trust the company making the award.....it may exist, but only in some advertisers imagination

  3. TRY the trading standards
