Returning dish network equipment to retailer?

Hi. I canceled my dish network service today and they said they will send me a box to return their equipment. Can I just return this to one of the retailers? and not wait for the box? Thanks.

I have to agree.  The retailer is just a hired go between for dish network.  If you give it back to them, if they take it, you might have one serious $400 charge on your credit card.

the box is prepaid and will ensure you will not get charged for the equipment. you get a receipt when you send it back to prove you returned it, and this is important to hold onto.
