Revenge on annoying neighbors?

My next door neighbor's twenty-something son live in the garage. We've had to put up with his friends parking in our driveway (I've made it clear I'll tow the next car that does that - no warnings!), they blast really bad music (it sounds like a g*y nightclub. Fine if you are at a g*y nightclub, but not blasting from the loser's house next door) and he and his mom have screaming fights. The worst, though is the smoking! They stand out side their garage which means all the smoke comes into our house. My husband got really angry yesterday and went over there, which ended with this loser and his cronies calling him names and cussing him out. Had I known he was going over there, I would have talked him out of it. It's not like we can reason with these people or anything. Anyway, I'm over it and I'm tired of being nice (really! I have been nice! I haven't complained about much of the stuff they do.). They have been so insufferably rude that I want to get back at them. I was thinking of keeping a bucket with my dog's sh*t right next to the fence, near the doorway that they smoke in. That or buying a bag of the smelliest fertilizer I can find and spreading it along the fence. Nothing illegal or destructive, but stuff like that. Any ideas?

Well you Can't really do anything about them smoking....because they are on their property...But the next time the music is up or they are fighting...Just call the police....i don't know how it is where u live at but here after 10 pm any loud music and disturbances...u can call the police...but that's what ive had to do

I understand that you are not insane, it just starts feeling that way when you are stuck with white trash apes living next door.  

I suggest you do not use the doggie method on them, you could be charged with mischief or assault.  The fertilizer will also affect you and your family.

Contact the police the very next time they put this 'music' on.  Chances are that they are smoking more than cigarettes.  Let them (police} know is is a recurring problem and you cannot enjoy the peace of your own home.

You may be able to charge them with disturbing the peace.  You need to research your local by-laws.

I know how disgusting these morons are, but remember, they will know who complained so be prepared.

Having disrespectful neighbours is so terribly frustrating and infuriating. I was staying at a lovely country house last week, no other homes in sight, but the nearest neighbour on the other side of the trees decided to mow his lawn at 5:30 AM, waking up the whole household. It did occur to me to set up a recorded blast of the overture of Die Walkure for them the next morning, say around 5:00, so I completely understand your desire to get revenge, no matter how childish. However, ask yourself if you want a) war or b) results. These people you describe sound as if they won't graciously accept any kind of criticism, to say nothing of a bucket of dog do-do. That could backfire. There are a lot of creative things angry neighbours can do with poo and trash once it gets started.

Have you heard of a device called The Mosquito? It emits a piercing sound only young people can hear. You might install one on your fence to dissuade smokers from hanging out there, if they don't react to your explanation of why you'd like them to choose another spot to smoke in. As for the cars, I would first ask politely to move them before calling the authorites. The music may be the most problematic, because I think that's perfectly legal except for between certain hours of the night.

In any case, this badly brought up kid can't live there forever. If his folks kicked him out to the garage, they're probably planning on giving him a longer reaching second kick one of these days. That's what happens when you bring up your kids to be thoughtless idiots; they end up being thoughtless toward their parents, too.

Contact the police. Weed is illegal in the US, but I don't know where you live.

The fertilizer isn't a bad idea, fyi ;)
