Robitussin and trying to concieve? ?

i have seen alot of places saying Robitussin can help when trying to conceive. what does it do?

I tried Robitussin for 5 months!!! It didnt work for me.It's said to thiin out the mucus in the cervix so the sperm can swim through.BUT If you really think about it.Why would you need to thin outthe mucus!? Because when your ovulating the mucus is already thined out!!:)

I went through alot! Pills,Ovulation test,watching the calendar,Taking my temp!!! You name it and my husband and I probably tried it!! We tried for 3 years!!! My friend gave me this advice and I got pregnant in 3 months after trying it the way she told me!! *Below is what she told me*

Remember you ovulate 14-16 days before you start your period. The time to have s*x to get pregnant is when you are very wet,slippery,and stretchy down there*******,alot of women's right or left side will hurt when the egg is released.******* You need to have s*x atleast two or three times the week of ovulation to get preganant.*****VERY IMPORTANT! Stay laying down 30-45 minutes after s*x DO NOT GET UP AT ALL.WAIT TO PEE!!! *****It takes 30-45 minutes for the sperm to reach the egg to fertilize it.Hope this helps!!:) Good luck****

It took me three years of trying and I got this advice from a friend and I got pregnant in Three months after I took her advice:)

All it really is is just paying attention to your body! :) Once you get that down you might as well go out and start buying maternity clothes and baby items!!! :)

Taking clomid can cause the fertile cm to "dry up". Some recommend taking the Robitussin to create more ewcm when ovulating so sperm will have a better chance. Good luck and baby dust!

Well there is an active ingredient guaifenesin in it which thins your cervical mucus thereby making it easier for sperm to travel.  If you use this make sure the only active ingriedient is guaifenesin other active ingredients can be harmful to baby.  This can also be found in Mucinex which you can by in 600mg or 1200mg pure guaifenesin.  You only need to take it a couple days before ovulation I start about 5 days before..

It can help to thin out your cervical mucus and thus making it more 'sperm-friendly'. I lot of women use it, and doctors have even recommended it works.
