I currently have 1 hamster. She is about 3 months old. I previuosly owned another hamster but he died a few days ago. My syrian hamster has a crittertrail cage. ITss kinda small. But it has a wheel and a little house in it. Is that a big anough cage?? (my old hamster was in a glass cage but it shattered) My current hamster looks comfortable in her cage. Im not planning on buying one soon. But i was wondering does it sound big enough and in the future what cage should i get for her?

  1. no.if shes okay then leave her.or him.mine looks cramped but loves it.so let her get used ot it.also if really so think that its too small then u shud get another one.they cud brake deyr backs.plz pick as best answer.

  2. I am not sure what Crittertrail cage you have currently. If you are having a syrian hamster, Crittertrail X or 1 is not adequate. It is very congested and does not provide the space that syrian hamsters require. A crittertrail 2 or 3 would be much more better for one syrian hamster.

However since you already have a Crittertrail and these cages have an option of attachment k**b on the side, why not add on another roomy area to this cage through the attachment k**b, you can add a bin cage to the current Crittertrail so that your hamster has the option of moving around. Bin cages are inexpensive and you can make one at home yourself.

  3. if i was you i would buy a bigger cage with lots of space in it my hamster has a huge cage.

  4. if she seems comfertible now ...DONT WORRY!

just start to plan a low on money bigger cage!

  5. CritterTrails are not god cages for Syrians, and they really aren't enough space for dawrfs either.

My suggestion is getting a cheap plastic bin (walmart, target, dollar store) and making a cage out of that.

If you need help with constructing a bin cage, email me and I can send you instuctions on how to make one. =]
