Federer was immense today.

Stepanek is a tricky opponent - i'd like to see Nadal beat him so convincingly with so much style.

poor guy has been completely rattled and his reputation left in tatters as the 'humble nice guy' after the beatings he has been given by rafael nadal! its sad to see a guy going from a champ to a chump! the guy doesnt have a total clue how to beat nadal! when federer faces nadal, federer looks like a lamb being taken to the slaughter house! its pretty gruesome, especially after the french open murder! federer has been totally rattled and nadal is in his head, the guy cant even concentrate on his game and h**l man, federer has not even beaten a top 10 seeded player in a grand slam this year, yes u heard it right, go check the aussie, french and wimbledon 2008 and see how many top 10 seeded players federer has beaten....NONE!!!!

I don't think so...this is just a sign he did after winning the game, a lot of people do that when something goes their way, and not only in sports. It's possible that he didn't even realize at the time it was a #1 sign. Rog has too much class to do something like that on purpose.
