Roger and Rafa?

Going at it again eh? I'm sick of seeing their finals. I know Roger always gives Rafa a run for his money. But Rafa always ends up winning, anyway. Boring finals for the men. I think it would've been more interesting to see Rafa and someone else, anyone. Or Novak, but oh well.

What do you think?

On the women's draw, I really wish Jelena had one, she was up so many times, but Ana just.. :[

lol. Ana or Dinara?

Who do you want to win?

What about Wimbledon?

  1. There's nothing boring about nos. 1 and 2 going at it again. There's a REASON they are the two top players in the world, and it's tennis justice that they should - again - meet in the French Open final. What would be boring, for me, is for Rafa to win again. It's Federer's time.

  2. It's very interesting for me to watch these two.  The interesting thing about all sports is the future isn't set.  Rafa always manages to come back, but will he again this time?  Will Federer even put up a fight this time(he's not had the same ridiculous consistency and lack of errors we're all used to)?  I hope he does.

Anway, grand slam finals are nearly always interesting because both players had to play well to get there.  It's only natural that the two players who play consistently the best would end up in the final.  And isn't that what a final is about,  Watching those who have played the best compete for final victory?

  3. I think it is amazing that we are going to see Federer and Nadal again in the final.. it shows how strong they are to be in the final for several times in grand slams..

    For women, Id like Dinara.

and Wimbledon, I hope Feeder do it again :)

  4. Well Federer vs Nadal matches are never boring, doesnt matter how many times they play. You could see Djokovic and Nadal play, not really an exiciting macth to watch. Even though I dont think Federer can beat Nadal ( even thought I would like it) I think its going to be very very fun match. Yeah its kinda predictable that two of them will be in most of the finals, but you can't say matchs they play are boring, they are most exiciting matchs in tennis nowdays. Well that just my opinion.

And for girls, I would like Ana to win, but I am not really sure what's going to happen. Dinara doesnt have anything to lose and she is the under dog so I guess it's going to be very hard for Ana to beat her, but I hope she will.

And Wimbledon I have no idea, Nadal is getting better and better on grass so I wouldn't bet on Federer , but I am pretty sure final will be again ( sigh:)) Federer/Nadal.

And for women side..really have no idea, if sisters Williams are in good form I can see one of them winning. Sharapova , Jankovic and Ivanovic are ones I can see in the finals too. But we ll have to wait and see:)

  5. I don't think we see enough Federer vs Nadal matches. People complain how the networks don't show important tennis matches live. The reason for that is the lack of fan support, which is primarily because of the lack of genuine rivalries in the game today.

Federer and Nadal need to play each other a lot more, not less. The last time they played a final was nearly a year ago. I'm not sure exactly how you could be tired of something that hasn't happened in 11 months.

  6. nadal

  7. I feel that this is Rogers year for the mens draw, he has to prove a lot and even thoguh rafa is at the top of his game roger should pull it out in a tight 4-5 set match.

As for the women I see Safina pulling the upset, I have watched many of her matches and she is on fire. Hitting the ball well and is very confident. It will be a tight match but I feel Safina will pull out the win.

As for Wimbeldon I have Roger winning that as well, he is still the king of grass and with a lot of pressure on his back he has no choice but to win. It will be a close race to the finals but in the end the king will prevail.

    Just my opinion!!!

  8. Nadal is going to kill Federer on Sunday. Did you see Federer's last two matches? He's lost two sets against two players that have "some" clay skills and Nadal won in straight sets versus Djokovic, although I expected a closer match after that great match at that previous tourney. Nadal has more than just "some" clay skills.

The only way Ana is going to lose tomorrow if is she goes up one set and gets to a 5-2 lead because apparently this is when Safina gets pumped up. I don't think she can keep up the momentum if she gets a lead. If Safina is going to win both sets she wins will have to go to tie breaks

  9. There's nothing boring about seeing the two best players in the world compete for the Trophy. Roger is playing better but he should have killed Gael and not let him get a set and go to a breaker. Rafa should win quite easily in straights based on their results up until now but hopefully Roger can pull out some secret weapons and earn the Big Upset and get his first French Open so he can get the monkey off his back and think of slowing down with a clear conscience. He should retire as the Greatest of All Time and with All the Slam titles.

Safina for sure in straight sets. Very solid and composed.

    What about Wimbledon?

Who'll win it - Roger for the men, Maria for the women.

When will it be held - June 23 to July 8/2008.

Where is it held - the All England Lawn Tennis Club, England

What men will be in the Final - Rafa & Roger

  10. Nadal/Federer finals are never boring, they're the best! Nadal wins in 3. Sorry Fed.

Safina upsets Ana [if it were Jelena I'd have her beating Safina but oh well :-( ]

    Nadal wins Wimbledon
