Roll back pc, any idea?

is there anyway i can roll back my pc other than with system restore? tried doing it in safe mode but that didn,t work

Unless you already have some kind of rollback software installed, System Restore is the only way to "roll back" your computer if you are running Microsoft Windows.

An exception is made for Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate, where you can restore from a backup made using the Backup & Restore Center by booting from the Windows Setup CD.

My advise would be to back-up what you want saved, and do a total PC restart with your windows CD. I've done this many times over the years, and have found it works much better than a system restore, reason being even with a system restore, you never know when you had infected files on your PC, so it is better to start with factory default settings.

only if you have backed it up as an image (with nero or similar program) or you have your OS loaded on a ghost (i.e. Norton Ghost drive)
