Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. Helpp?

Question

I love building roller coasters but now im sick of doing corkscrew and loops. Can someone please tell me how to time my rollers coasters. I want to make two coasters side to side and race them but i never know how to time them right i have no clue whats so ever what to do to stop the train sped it up or anything. Is their a special track i use to time it right like something called a "Block Brake" that the only thing i can think of and if that is right where am i supposed to put it on the track to make sure it times right. do i have to change the time under an option or something please tell me?

Block break is to stop a train temporary. As for your question, you build the stations next/near each other and go into the coaster info, then into operate (I think) and select Synchorize Stations. (I can't spell, you'll see what one i'm talking about)

The block breaks are only for mid ride use.  It slows the coaster down during the ride so you don't get the high "G's".

To do timed rides, you'll have to build two stations next to each other.  It's been a long time since I've played RCT2, but I think under the rides' options, there's an option to have them operate at the same time.
