Alright so I was on a field trip with my camp the other day and went rollerblading for the first time in years. I thought I was going to be terrible but I was not bad at all. I can hold my own. I decided that I wanted to buy a pair. This question isn't so much about certain kinds of tricks, but when did any of you feel that you were ready to START tricks. Like I know you gotta feel comfortable but I'm new to the sport what beginner tricks could I start to do once I've gotten down rollerblading a little more? Are there certain things you can do to prepare yourself to start tricks? I'm totally new to this but I wanna get into it, any help? I'd appreciate it.

  1. By tricks, are you referring to aggressive skating? If anything, you want to be able to be comfortable riding forward and backwards (fakie) and be able to jump without falling. You really want to learn to be comfortable with riding around and being able to balance well. A large part of landing tricks is from balance (grinding, airing, landing) that also goes for freestyle like slaloming.
