Romeo and juliet help?

im writting an essay about how romeo and juliet the movie/play is about fate...

can anyone help

how is it about fate and give like some examples too, thanks :)

Well, the only thing I remember that would help would be in the prologue which called Romeo and Juliet "Star-crossed lovers" which meant that according to the stars, their love was never meant to be, so it was fate that they could never be together.  Hope this helps.

there are heaps of references to fate ...

they are from two different families - Montague's and the Capulet's - two families that have been fighting for years for some small stupid reason.. When Romeo and his brothers crash the Capulet's party it is fate that he should see Juliet and fall in love.. Fate that he only just got dumped by some random chick.

umm, there are more but i can't remember but the whole crashing the party and them falling in love when they are from two fueding families...

in your essay try and mention Juliets famous speach from the balcony where she says "what is in a name" this is key to play in showing that they are two different families brought together by fate but their family names should not matter.

briing this up with your teacher and he/she can explain it in a bit more detail..
