Question:

Route from Bangalore to Kukkey Subramanya?

Hi Guys,

Has anyone recently been to Kukkey from Bangalore? I had heard that the roads were being repaired about 8 - 10 months ago and that they were quite bad. Any feedback on how it is now? Also, is it advisable to take own car and go? I have just bought a new car and plan on using this opportunity as a long drive. Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks

Srikanth

  1. Bangalore-Nelamangala-Kunigal-yadiyur-Ch... the middle of the ghat (ghundya) you have to take left turn then you reach Kuke subramanya

Know the roads are very good recently they have provided tar and concrete

But traffic is very heavy in the night time,  lot of buses and mine truks

    From  Bangalore around 320kms

    Happy journey

  2. Both roads are bad...but Hassan is a better bet....there was some work goin on so it shud be better now...there is also train service to kukke now...find out..nice place to be,...hav fun..

    train is from blore--mangalore

The nearest railway station is Subramanya Road railway station is at 7 km from Kukke Subramanya.

I would say take the train..and enjoy the view..rather than spoinling your new car...there are better places to drive in your new car...

  3. Dear Friend,

Shiradu Ghat is ready now. You can travel to Kukke Subrahmanya from Bangalore via Nelamangala, Kunigal, Yadiyur - Channarayapattana - Hassan - Sakaleshpura - Gundya - Kukke Subrahmanya
