Router troubles....oy....

Question

I have a linksys router in my den which is 3 floors away from my room. I currently have a very long cabl trhough walls and into my room to my computer. I want to split it into two lines so i have an older linksys router and the cd for it. But it won't let me hook it up. I used it once before but kept default everything and when it just continually asks me for password.

Need help, how to get to my xbox and computer...ay

I would say the easiest way to do what you want to do is by using a switch...they are reasonably priced and you don't have to worry about any additional settings. I would also suggest staying with Linksys products...check these out.
