I'm going on a Royal Caribbean cruise (on Navigator of the Seas) to Eastern Europe that leaves on July 13th with my sister(16 years old), dad and my step mom. I'm 14.

Has anyone been on a Royal Caribbean cruise and could tell me what it's going to be like?

  1. I think youre gonna have the time off  your life. RCCl is fun and tender for theyre younger passanger and there is gonna be loads of things to do. Most ships (but not all) will have a rock climbing wall that could be fun if youre into that kind of stuff. Theyre also have tenager club and fuel disco. Europe has a lot of historical sights so it should be a lot off nice shore excursions to go on if youre into history and things like that. I am not sure if eastern means baltic but if its so then the ods are great that youll going to my home town stockholm. In that case dont miss "Junibacken" dedicated to the farytales of Astrid Lindgren. Have fun and enjoy you cruise. Johan.

  2. Never been on Navigator, but I went on it's sistership, the Voyager. Great class, you'll never get bored on the ship.  You are so lucky though! I was on Splendour when I did this cruise, it was the smallest ship we've been on, and it wasn't as entertaining as the other ships.

As I told you, the only problem is, the teenagers on the ship are rare to come by and a lot of them are foreign. I went in April, so this kind of cruising wasn't as popular in the early season, and it was on a less popular ship so hopefully you'll have bettter luck. Go check out the teen center on the ship, even if it's just you and your sister, it's still fun, and they have plenty of fun activities. You can come and go whenever you want.

The ship has many shows after dinner, an arcade, pools, a Promenade/mall (awesome!), free ice cream, free food depending where you go (Johnny Rocket is not included), Voyager had an ice rink, a rock climbing wall, mini golf, roller skating. They should be close to the same.

As for the ports, if you are going to Turkey, Croatia, and Greece then that would be what I did too. Kusadasi (Turkey) is awesome! Ephesus (Turkey too) is really neat, lots of history involved. Dubrovnik (Croatia) is a cozy little village like city. We climbed the wall there, it was strenous but the views were worth it. In Greece, I'd suggest getting a excursion for both stops (if you're doing the same cruise I did), and get them early! We did Santorini by ourselves, and within an hour of being on shore we went back on the ship. It just didn't interest us, it would be better if we did an excursion. If you do Corfu, don't do the Achillean Palace and a Monastery, it's a waste of a good 3 and a half hours. Get the more involved excursions.

I am 16, so I think roughly the same as you. It's a fun cruise if you let if be fun. I enjoyed it for the most part. The food was excellent, I always miss that the most. Service is great! Royal Caribbean is a great cruiseline, you won't regret going. When you return, tell me how it went!

  3. Royal Caribbean is the BEST cruise line.  I am gong on my 5th cruise in August and I love it!  Everyday you will be given an itenerary, you will be able to plan what to do every day.  There is something going on every minute.  You will have the time of your life!  ENJOY!!!

  4. Royal Caribbean is a wonderful cruise line! They have really cool teen programs and the staff is soooo nice and friendly!! There is sooo much to do on the ships...like the rock wall and stuff! I have never been on Navigator but i have been on 3 others....all RC! It is soo amazingly fun!!!!! You will have a great time! The food is really good and there is a huge varitey of foods...Also the ports they pick are all very nice! I think RC is the BEST cruise line!! Your gonna have a great time!!
