Rubber stall door?

Question

on wildfire, an abc television show, they have horse stalls, and at rain tree farm, they use a different type of stall door.. its like a small rectangle rubber thing. why do they use this? wouldnt the horse escape?

and the main reason im asking this question is if regular horse owners use this type of "door"

WE use them on the track ,, No not many or any get out ..

We do put up stall gates for studs etc,, With hole in them so they can see out ,,

But its for more air and it's not so closed in

Young Horses we use full gates also

Until they get used to being on the track,,And in a stall !,,

You can but them from any Saddle comp. Dovers and have your own logo put on them, STate line tack also,,

I still have a few from yrs ago.

Sure you can ,, as long as you shut his door at night

when a horse lies down he just might get out ,,and he is not a stud or real young horse,,



I think they run about 150 plus now

Smaller stall door barriers are called a "webbing" or stall guard.  This allows for stall ventilation in warmer climates.  

Stall guards are often the racing color of respective stable or decorative to identify the same. Thoroughbreds and show horses are pampered while at the race track of show ground.  Hay racks and water buckets are kept full and accessible.  Most will respect the barrier.

Some stallions or excitable performers require a wire screen barrier which also allows maximum ventilation.  In this situation the stall guard is attached to the screen for uniform appearance with other stalls
