Pull the sticker of the middle and dismantle it with a cross head screwdriver.....then reassemble...takes about 1 min

There are many ways to solve a rubik's cube, such as Layer by Layer, which I am using, F2L(First 2 layers )+PLL(forgot what that stands for), and many other ways, and they all differ in speed. I know, since I am a cuber myself. Anyway, it depends on your preference. F2L+PLPL, by far, is the fastest, but you need to learn a lot of algorithms so as to complete it. I suggest you find someone who can complete the cube fast and well, and ask him to teach you Layer by Layer. It's the best way.

no wait, that actually takes the longest.

well, u can learn the steps on youtube. it took me a few days (i'm a slow learner) but once you're familiar with the steps, its pretty easy.

but if u already know how to solve one and want to solve it quicker than your personal record, i suggest u get a tub of Vaseline, pop out the corner cubes and smear the jelly inside. that should do the trick.

Erik Akkersdijk, 18, broke the world record  for solving a standard 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube, with a time of 7.08 seconds at the Czech Open earlier this month.  

So the fastest way is to be very fast indeed.  ;)
