The Lille coach understands the France international’s desire to move to a top European club but reiterated that he hopes to hold onto the player until a suitable replacement is found

English Premier League has been touted as a likely destination for the full-back, who has been heavily linked with several Premier League clubs in recent times including Chelsea and Newcastle United.
Magpies’ initial bid for the player was rejected by the French club. However, the English club is reportedly readying an improved offer for the player with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 also closely monitoring the player’s situation.
However, Lille are refusing to part ways with the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international at the moment as they want to find an able replacement for the wantaway defender before allowing him to leave.
Les Dogues coach Rudi Garcia has said that Debuchy’s situation is totally understandable and he respects his desire to play for a top club in the Premier League. However, the 48-year-old stated that the Frenchman should also accept the decision of the club
to hold onto him until LOSC find an adequate replacement for him.
While talking to reporters, the former Saint-Etienne coach stated that the club is in the market for Debuchy’s replacement and there are positive signs that a player will be signed before the end of the transfer market.
"Mathieu has expressed his wish to leave and play in the Premier League. I understood him. At the moment we are looking at the possibility of replacing him; we are searching.”
Garcia said that he wants to help the France right-back, who performed brilliantly for Les Bleus at Euro 2012, but has asked the player to be more patient in that regard.
"Of course we are willing to help him but he must understand our position. We will talk when he gets back (from holidays)."
Mathieu Debuchy, a graduate of Lille youth academy, made an impressive 32 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit in 2011/2012 campaign scoring 4 goals in the process.
