  1. Nah. ELVs are good for rugby and should be used for all of rugby. Speeds the game up and makes it more watchable - i.e. more bums on seats, more $$'s into the game.  All of the rules used in the S14 should be used + the pulling down the maul and hands in the ruck should be used - less stupid technical penalties!

  2. The ELV'S come from the Northern Hemisphere anyway, thats were the most IRB members and votes come from and nothing can happen in rugby without Europe's say so, so I don't know why all the poms keep blaming the southern hemisphere.

  3. If anyone wants to see a game without Mauls, no tactical kicking to touch, lots more cheating (which is all that reducing offenses to free kicks rather than penalties will do) and all the other nonsense in the ELVs, they can. It's called Rugby League!

As a forward, all I see is an attempt to make it into a back's game. The game is more open today then it ever has been. If Australia, New Zealand and Wales could find a decent tight five, this would be a non-issue.

  4. I think we would all get a better idea, and understanding, of the new rules if the idiotic IRB had every country playing the same number of rules at the same time.     Right now it's a joke and threatens the game.
